ABOUT THIS EPISODE

“Education is a key piece of the puzzle for autonomous vehicles,” says Lukas Neckermann, co-initiator of PAVE Europe.

PAVE – Partners for Automated Vehicle Education – was established in the US as a coalition of industry, non-profits, and academics with the aim of informing the public about automated vehicles and their potential.

It’s a consortium of stakeholders from across the autonomous vehicle value chain, including automakers, suppliers, tech companies, lidar makers, sensor suppliers, software companies, operators, and insurance companies.

PAVE Europe has been established as a sister organisation to PAVE in the US, intended specifically to address autonomous technology in Europe.

This edition of Ride features EasyMile and Waymo, two of the founding members of PAVE Europe, as well as Lukas Neckermann, a consultant, COO of Splyt, friend of the podcast – and most importantly for this episode, a co-initiator of PAVE Europe.
